Klonopin, or clonazepam, is a prescription medication often prescribed for panic attacks and certain seizure disorders. While it can be very effective, it also comes with possible side effects and a risk of misuse or dependence.
Research shows that about 30.6 million adults in the U.S. use benzodiazepines. Of those, nearly 17% may develop a substance use disorder involving drugs like Klonopin.
